Our Management Team
A qualified accountant with over 25 years’ experience as a senior Finance executive within the Finance industry both locally and internationally (UK and Nigeria). Mrs Rotimi began her career in practice working with BDO before eventually moving into industry and Financial Services holding senior positions within Royal Mail, Bank of Ireland, Lehman Brothers and Close Brothers Group. Her responsibilities covered all aspects of Finance from Planning/Budgeting to Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Financial Control and Procurement.
She is currently the CEO of Capworth Consulting Limited. A company specialising in bespoke training and capacity building with a focus on emerging markets. She also serves on the board of two other Companies and a Trustee for a foundation. Mrs Rotimi holds a Master’s degree from the University of Greenwich and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
Mrs Rotimi has a well-rounded experience in Training development, programme design and delivery having in 1994 founded AR and Associates Limited, a company specialising in delivering bespoke training and Management development programmes. Mrs Rotimi teaches Accounting, Financial, leadership and Risk management courses.
First degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos Nigeria and a Master’s degree from Cranfield University United Kingdom. Ola has over 20 years’ experience in Information Technology, Banking and financial software development and has worked on various projects for Delarue, VISA, AIB, Abbey group, Credibom, BulBank Novabank, BCP Paris, BIM, TD Waterhouse, UBS, PKO Bank Poland, Bank of China, Moneris, Bank of Egypt and IBM.
His greatest strength is in strategic planning, exercising great vision, coupled with excellence in problem resolution and a strong drive to grow successful business solutions. Ola works in close co-operation with Stakeholders, Senior Management, Project Management, Designers, Developers, Testers, End users and Suppliers. He is also a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and Member of Institute of Management Academy
Patricia Ahonsi has had over 30 years working in the Multinational Oil & Gas industry with varied experiences in general accounting, Joint Venture/Production Sharing, Contracts accounting, Auditing, Project Accounting and Contract Administration. Currently, she handles the business segment of projects in addition to her managerial expertise including coaching and mentoring. A graduate of Economics from the University of Ibadan, Patricia also holds an Executive MBA from the Obafemi Awolowo University.
Professionally, Patricia is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) as well as a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). She has a great interest in sharing her knowledge and experiences with students, the business community and social organizations as part of her philanthropic contribution to society.
Mrs Idowu has over fifteen years of experience working in various sectors, these include Financial Services and Commerce and Industry. She has held a number of middle to senior management positions to date in the UK. She has worked as Finance Consultant within FTSE 100 companies in the UK where she was responsible for Financial strategy and Financial reporting and Control. Currently she is working
as a Finance Consultant within an Investment bank in UK. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant. Ms Idowu advises our Accounting advisory unit.
Dr Khan is a highly qualified and experienced individual. He has a PhD in Accounting
(his thesis was on the UAE capital markets), and is a Chartered Accountant. He has
worked across a number of sectors and has valuable expertise across a range of
business functions. Dr. Khan spent many years in industry as well as higher
education in the UK and as an Accounting/Finance Consultant to FTSE companies.
Advising and developing financial management systems, performance efficiency,
regulation and Corporate Governance. He specialises in Financial Reporting, IFRS and
AIS and training.
Advisory Board
From 1999-2010, Chris Birch worked at executive level in two large UK universities, with strategic responsibility for research, enterprise and knowledge transfer. He is an experienced classroom practitioner and was an internet pedagogic pioneer. He has post graduate degrees in Education, History and Business Administration and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Association and of the Institute of Knowledge Transfer. He is actively involved in many UK and EU Policy groups. He was made the first UK Professor of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in 2004, and subsequently he has held Chairs in two other Universities. He is also Visiting Professor at Edge Hill University. His phrase ‘powered by technology, driven by learning’ has been widely used. Currently, he is Professor of Enterprise and Innovation at the University of Greenwich, London where he has created the very successful Centre for Innovation, Imagination and Inspiration. He publishes in the fields of technology assisted learning, pedagogy, entrepreneurship and innovation.
He is committed to the principle of creating innovative mutually value-adding delivery partnerships. He is clear that universities need to look closely at all aspects of their work, and how they operate, with affordability, accessibility, agility and value for money at the forefront of their marketing and community strategies. In a competitive global environment, underpinned by high speed and cheap communications infrastructure, traditional place-based university dominance in the provision of higher education services will rightly be challenged. Those that can be creative, innovative and responsive will thrive.
Myrtle has a wide variety of skills ranging from training to project management. She has recently been employed by the University of Greenwich as a Senior Lecturer within the Business Faculty.
Prior to joining the Greenwich University, she was a Principal Lecturer at London Guildhall Faculty of Business and Law at London Metropolitan University where she assisted the Learning and Teaching Director in the development of the Faculty’s policy on learning, teaching and assessment. She had a key role in the design and delivery of a range of modules on the HRM postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes. Associate Tutorship for Birkbeck College (University of London) and Northumbria University could also be added to Myrtle’s academic portfolio of work.
In December 2014, Myrtle achieved her PhD in Management at the Henley Business School, University of Reading. Her thesis was based on the relational nature of undergraduates’ career management.
Before pursuing her academic career, Myrtle was a leadership and personal development facilitator/trainer for various private and public sector organisations. Her portfolio of interim and freelance roles comprised of research, evaluation and learning and development. Examples include Equality and Diversity training for NHS newcomers as well as the delivery of Organisational Development and other CIPD and IPM accredited courses for various organisations including the London Boroughs of Newham, Lewisham & Waltham Forest, Norwich City Council and Broadgate Estates.
Mr Wey is an Accountant (FCCA), Project Management and IT Enterprise Architecture Practitioner with extensive IT qualification and experience. He has held Project Management, Business Analysis, Functional ERP Consulting and solution Architecture roles since 2001, implementing bespoke software solutions, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Commodity Trading & Risk Management systems within Finance function or Enterprise change programme(s).
Specific experience includes: Three years project managing and consulting on ORACLE eBusiness ERP implementation. Two years managing the delivery of Trading & Risk Management system – CXL by Triple Point. Ten years’ experience project managing, consulting and implementing Dynamics ERP solutions.
Adegbenga is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ post qualification experience at senior management level. His experience spans across all areas of financial management (including management accounting, financial accounting, taxation, Audit and corporate governance).
He has worked in all sectors in various senior roles, with medium and large sized organisations. His experience in the Public sector has spanned over 15 years, working with central government departments and other Public Service organisations such as; Home Office, Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Metropolitan Police Service. He has extensive experience in the delivery of organisational performance, presenting insightful financial analysis and challenge to deliver organisational objectives.
He develops financial models to track and deliver savings and cost effective management of service providers. He produces business cases for the modernisation and rationalisation of operational services. He conducts reviews of Value for money initiatives and develops complex models to support tenders and bids to deliver commercial opportunities. He provides commercial insights to aid the business in the development of financial and operational plans, including medium term financial and Capital strategy plans. He is an active member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in the UK and in 2011/12 chaired the organisation. He is a recipient of a professional Accountancy award, he mentors a number of newly qualified, part qualified Accountants and young adults in the community.
